The Other Group
The other group for me would be people who aren’t realists. I say this because I am not an optimistic person in the face of inevitable defeat. For example like the type of people who think they can succeed even though their failure is imminent. I strongly feel such opposition to this “other” because I feel like they are living in a false world where failures aren’t real and they think people can have happy endings and as life has shown for many of people, this is not how it works. I feel that people should have a positive look on things, but more so for attainable things, not trying to overshoot themselves with positive energy just to get pumped up for a failure. Coming from experience and actually working on projects with these types of people it is very difficult; I say this because you and both the other person have two very conflicting ideas about life and the situation at hand. The other person may consider an unattainable task to be attainable, but you may know that no matter how hard you work it is impossible, so you are stuck in a position to either waste your time with this person for their sheer benefit of positive thinking, or you can just call it a quits and cut your losses because you have fully assessed the situation and realized that it was impossible to overcome, either way someone has to end up upset or wrong.
